Plot:
Paris, 1928. Antoine Balestro, a fashionable young painter, has been unable to work since the death of his wife, and his gallery owner Armand despairs. One drunken night, Antoine tries to contact his wife through a clairvoyant. Without realizing it, he is actually talking to Suzanne, a modest fairground woman who has slipped into the caravan to steal food.
